The charming Anastasiia Doro was born in Ukraine, in the beautiful city of Odessa, on the shores of the Black Sea.
The war ravaging her country forced her to leave to settle and reside in France, where she draws new sources of inspiration for her artistic work.
It’s no surprise that this event was a major turning point in her life, and she now tries to make it as positive and constructive as possible.
I had the opportunity to meet her at her booth at Art3f in Paris at the beginning of 2025.
I was drawn to her color combinations and the patterns she offers us, which immerse us in the world of imagination. Anastasiia is a warm, yet somewhat reserved person,
with whom it is pleasant to chat and discuss her paintings.
As mentioned in the introduction, she is a contemporary abstract artist who, through her extensive travels, offers us her keen sense of beauty and her particular attention
to detail through her paintings.
Although Anastasiia Doro enjoys experimenting with various artistic techniques, she sometimes mixes them or reinvents them to achieve new effects.
According to the online art gallery, Art Major, we can find influences in her paintings from: Sam Francis, Jackson Pollock, Gerhard Richter, and Mark Tobey.
Personally, along with Mark Tobey, the American abstract painter and his meditative painting composed of a swarm of symbols, and Jackson Pollock, who is one of
the greats of American Expressionism, I would have rather cited the Quebec painter Charles Carson.
He is particularly known for his original work with colors, along with the rhythm and dynamism that are also found in Anastasiia’s personal works.
The liveliness of her palette, her way of occupying space in a rhythmic composition, her subtlety in abstraction, and her color combinations, already portend
a very promising present and future.
In her works, Anastasiia seeks to sublimate objective reality.
* (Many philosophers use the term « objective reality » to refer to everything that exists independently of any conscious perception… perception, thought, etc.)
She considers abstract art to be the ideal means to achieve this goal.
Through color combinations, complex patterns, and original and equally unusual shapes, she creates vibrational ranges that arouse a wide range of emotions and can sometimes plunge the viewer into a particularly meditative state.
She enjoys experimenting with various artistic techniques, which she sometimes mixes or reinvents to achieve new effects.
As an artist, her goal is to transport viewers into the boundless world of the imagination, to caress the sensitive strings of the soul, and to convey an aesthetic
and spiritual work that transcends reality.
Nature and the spiritual world are her main sources of inspiration.

Earlier, I mentioned that Anastasiia was a warm person, yet also a little reserved. This is perhaps due to her great sensitivity, which is reflected in her paintings, as well as her aesthetic artistic approach to sublimating this « Objective Reality. »
Anastasiia Doro was, through the Art3f exhibition in Paris 2025, one of the wonderful discoveries present at this fair.
Today, she is an artist working in her Paris studio. His paintings are featured in private collections in the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, England, Italy, France, and other countries.
