Why You Gotta Listen to HAIM, in 2025

The California sisters who’ve been ruling pop-rock for over a decade

On June 20, 2025, something big dropped

Why You Gotta Listen to HAIM, in 2025HAIM is back with I Quit, their new album.

And no « I Quit » doesn’t mean they’re leaving. It means they’re starting fresh, louder, rawer, and more fearless than ever.

After five long years since Women in Music Pt. III, the three sisters from the San Fernando Valley are back and they’re not just returning. They’re reinventing.

So… Who Are HAIM, Again

If you’re new here: meet Alana, Este, and Danielle Haim, three sisters, three multi-instrumentalists, one unstoppable force in modern pop-rock.

Since their debut Days Are Gone (2013), they’ve built a sound that’s all theirs: Crunchy guitars Killer drum grooves Harmonies that feel like a warm California breeze
and lyrics that cut deep, without losing their cool

They don’t just sing, they write, produce, play every instrument, and live their music with total authenticity… No filters. No gimmicks. Just real.

California DNA, But Make It Cool

Their sound

It’s soaked in West Coast sunshine — think palm trees, canyon roads, and late-night drives with the windows down. But it’s also shaped by legends: Fleetwood Mac, Prince, Eagles, and that golden era of « L.A. rock ».

But HAIM aren’t copying. They’re mixing it up with:

Hypnotic rhythms (thanks to their roots as drummers) Feminist anthems (subtle but strong) A ton of humor and sisterly vibes and a live energy that’s
straight-up legendary

I Quit. Not a Goodbye, a New Beginning

Despite the title (« I Quit »), this album isn’t about walking away. It’s about walking forward with more honesty, more edge, and way less concern for the music
industry’s
rules.

What’s on the record

Side A: Rock, rhythm, garage energy Relationships, Take Me Back, Gone → Gritty guitars, punchy beats, a little nu-metal flavor
Side B: Soft, intimate, emotional Try to Feel My Pain, Now It’s Time → Vulnerable ballads, almost like whispered confessions

And yes, you’ll hear hints of nu-metal: down-tuned guitars, heavy bass, even a touch of rap influence. But it’s still pure HAIM: melodic, emotional, powerful.

The Heart of the Album? Love. Breakups. Real Talk

For the first time, HAIM dives deep into the messy, beautiful chaos of relationships the fights, the longing, the healing.

Tracks like Take Me Back and Gone hit hard. They’re not just singing about love they’re living it, breaking it, rebuilding it.

Wait… Why Haven’t They Played in France

Here’s the mystery: HAIM tours the US, the UK, Japan, Australia… But not France not even a solo show. except… They played Lollapalooza Paris in 2023 but never added
a club date or theater show. And fans over there? They’re still waiting.
All we know: their live show is next level. Energy, sisterhood, flawless musicianship, everyone who’s seen them says the same thing: « You gotta experience it. »

So come on, HAIM. Paris is ready. The fans are ready. We’re just… waiting.

So Why Should You Listen?
They make smart pop, not filler, not trends

They’re 100% musicians, not just faces

They evolve without losing who they are

They speak to a generation searching for realness

Their music is California in sound: sun, wind, heart, freedom

Final Verdict

I Quit is a strong comeback, an album that marks a new chapter. We’ve been spinning it non-stop since release, and we keep coming back.

And even if they haven’t hit France yet, their music already has.

We’re officially recommending it. No hesitation.

One Last Thing…

There’s a moment that says it all: Stevie Nicks herself once called HAIM « the natural heirs to Fleetwood Mac. » She even brought them on stage in LA, hugged them, and said: « You’re what rock should be today. »

That’s not just a compliment. It’s a passing of the torch.

And if the West Coast has a soundtrack for the 2020s… It’s playing right now through HAIM.

Not convinced? Listen to their title, for example: Down to be wrong…
